Why are these damn pictures upside down?
1. This particular one has been in a wreck at some point in its past. Thats my disclaimer, its been repainted and all that so there are a few big red flags. It was rough in some places. A few panels not lining up very well, chipped or bubbled paint in a few places, non-standard wheels, worn leather seats were a few things I noticed right off. A few non-standard items are on the car, i.e. different shifter, short ram style intake (or just a conical filter added), newer style headlights though pop-ups would come with it, I think.

2. It started right up, and was a bit quieter than I was expecting. Ran well. Of course, the clutch was something I would need to play with a bit to get used to, but take-up was good (a bit higher than I'm used to) and clutch/trans/shifter felt nice and mechanical. It 'jittered' a bit when taking off, but I was really being easy on it. Very analog all around. No power steering that I could tell, but it does have some form of ABS and traction control. Steering is direct and everything feels nicely connected to the road.
3. Driving it feels really good. Its super low and very very comfortable (more so than the ST). Visibility is really very good (might be one of the best cars I've driven for visibility). Redline - 8000. It feels like it wants to be thrashed. I had a salesperson in the car so I didn't do anything really. Up to 6k rpm and maybe 80 mph. Brakes didn't feel that great to me, but that could very well be the specific car. Interestingly (again, maybe just this car) it didn't feel fast to me. I DD a Fiesta ST that always feels somewhat bonkers and the NSX feels planted and purposeful, but didn't give me belly flip flops (technical term) that I like so much.
4. I thought I would feel really conspicuous driving it, but I didn't care even a little.
The sales person tried to sell me hard ( hard) on it, but I knew more about this car than they did. Maintenance records were a little scary, but there are records which is a great thing. 4 grand put into it just recently. 2k for the clutch before that and other random things here and there. I'd really like to find an un-wrecked original one.
Overall 10/10 would DD. Enough boot space for random things, can only seat 2 (sorry cars full), somewhat reliable. Very good stuff. So much character. Can't stop thinking about it.

The're right side up for me...... with a new clutch being put in I would worry that that jittering and high clutch pedal.

Yeah it felt nice and heavy, but never having driven one before I didn't know how 'taking it easy' would feel in something like that. Like did I just not give it enough gas? Was the clutch pedal just higher than in the ST? Or, just needs adjusted? Who knows..

...I used to think this would be a good idea but it looks so out of place with the NA1 front bumper instead of the face-lifted version.

Kinja kinda hosed the annotation, are you talking about the headlights? I'd definitely swap them for pop-ups!

Are you looking to buy one?

Hard to say. I've never not loved the NSX, but I go back and forth between cars that I think I want. I mainly just wanted the opportunity to drive one, and jumped at the chance to do so (as a shy introvert taking more courage to ask than I'd like to admit). But saying that, it all comes down to affordability and where we're at with finances. Since we just bought the ST with the idea that my wife would take it over when she's done with school and then I could look again for something fun, now isn't the best time but I know that its a contender if I want something unique and amazing. I have a difficult time because my thinking often is that if I only drive a car 2-4k miles a year that I'm doing it an injustice and then don't feel deserving of it.

I'd jump on an opportunity to drive virtually anything, so I don't blame you.
The NSX is interesting, but I think their values have climbed beyond the point where I would want one. I guess they're still a pretty darn cheap exotic, but I think you can get better performance for less

I can find you an NSX for under $25k

Or an auto for $18k

Yep, thats part of the problem for me as well. If the price was right on an unmolested example, I could see myself possibly jumping on it. But with performance being what it is today, I could see being swayed without too much trouble. Can't find much in the price range that looks like it does though. I need to go drive random cars more often, I still feel like I was lying to them or something and I don't like it!

Go on. What condition? And don't be crazy, no auto. Unless you have a incredibly solid reason for me wanting one.

I do it all the time. I mostly am concerned with wasting their time

Good condition, clean title. Just messaged the guy to get more info. He basically used to deal Supras, but is getting out of expensive cars. Also selling an 818HP Supra and R34
